Hello Field of Grace Supporters!
I want to update you on the latest movement of Field of Grace. The Church has asked us to excellerate the operational side of Field of Grace without the physical community. So, we have to make some adjustments to our plans and need your help!
We are planning to have another type of "Planning Blitz" before the end of June, using Focus Groups to secure your input and incorporate your ideas into the "virtual community" model...or I should say, the "spiritual community" model.
We will be exploring the needs of adoptive families and how, as the church community, we can meet these needs.
The goal of "community" for the adoptive families is to remove the barriers to permanency of the adoption. It requires the Body of Christ to be the hands and feet of Jesus and come up under these families to ensure that success for the adopted child and the adoptive family. The old saying is true: "It takes a village to raise a child"!
We will be asking "senior" adults to help us to define their role as surrogate grandparents, mentors, tutors and friends of the adopted kids and how to create spaces, places and opportunities for building relationships.
I am considering a Saturday morning for this event - before the end of June... Please let me know if this is generally a convenient time to ensure your involvement? June 21 or 28???
We have much to share with all of you and look forward to seeing you at the "BLITZ"!
Please call Evie Darrah at 937-277-5505 to confirm your interest!
